Transformation of archives in the digital age is the topic for discussion at the IT Forum

The round table “Transformation of archives in the digital age: problems and solutions” will be held on June 11.

The event will raise the most pressing issues for the archival industry during the digitalization of the economy: formation of electronic archives, preparation for storage, as well as preserving the authenticity and legal significance of electronic documents, risks and opportunities in the period of transformation of archives.

Scientists from the archival sphere from Sweden, Romania, Belarus and Uzbekistan, as well as experts from the departmental archives of the Central Bank of Russia and the Surgutneftegaz company will take part in the round table. In addition, the event will be attended by specialists from the archive management authorities from Moscow, Ryazan, Kaliningrad, Perm, Yekaterinburg, the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Buryatia and the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District.

The round table will be moderated by a specialist in the archives of the Swedish Parliament, Records Manager, President of the “Corporate archives” non-profit association - Anastasia Pettersson.

She will report on the Swedish experience in managing electronic documents in records management and archives. In addition, leading experts of the industry Vyacheslav Nosevich (the Republic of Belarus), Barat Akhmedov (the Republic of Uzbekistan), Bogdan-Florin Popovichi (Romania) will tell about the practice of long-term storage of electronic archival documents in their countries.
