The parties intend to cooperate in the creation of a regional center for operational monitoring of information security of the autonomous region, organizing interaction with the state system for detecting, preventing and eliminating the consequences of computer attacks on Russian information resources, ensuring the security of the objects of critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation in the territory of Ugra, etc.
“The agreement with Rostelecom will allow us to achieve the target indicator “average information system downtime after a cyber attack” of the regional project “Information Security ”- by 2024 it should be no more than 1 hour. Thus, we attract intellectual investments that will be the basis for creating an innovative product - a layered information security system. Our specialists will receive a set of competences for countering cyber threats in real conditions on existing information systems. The damage from a computer attack can be enormous and amount to 200 million rubles and more. Joint work with Rostelecom can guarantee us the continuity of operation of information systems, significantly reduce the risks associated with errors in the design and operation of the cyber attack system”, emphasized Natalya Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra.
“In 2018, Solar JSOC, the first commercial center to monitor and respond to cyber threats, detected above 765 thousand computer attacks, which is 89% more than a year earlier. In this regard, Rostelecom pays more and more attention to the development of technologies and services for protection against cyber threats. Our specialists evaluate and check the degree of protection of resources and infrastructure of each client and select the appropriate solutions for security of IT infrastructure, including the price. The solutions we offer provide continuous 24x7 protection against a wide range of cyber threats, starting with mass hacker attacks and ending with targeted ones aimed at individual employees of enterprises”, commented Sergey Gusev, Vice President, Director of the “Ural” macro-regional branch of Rostelecom PJSC.
It should be noted that the agreement in the field of information security has become the next stage of cooperation between the digital services operator and the Ugra Government.
